WHO IS HELPING WHO? PT 2
In my diary today,
I will continue from where I stopped yesterday. Sometimes in some situations some people always think that they may help God so that what they are up to will be fast, but it's a mistake of the century.
Do you remember Uzza in the Bible? Let's make a quick check.
2 Samuel 6:1-7 Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims.
And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart.
And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.
And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God
Do you know why Uzza died?
1. He was a Levite who knew that the ark was supposed to be bore on the shoulder by men.
2. He was one of those driving the anger of God by obeying the king's order.
3. The song they were playing that time was an abominable one to God's hearing.
4. He should have not tried to help the falling ark.😓
A lot of times we often thing we are helping God take care of something while God needs to be pacified of His anger to our disobedience, thereby making his genuine love look like a mistake (as the devil will whisper to his 👂 ear-- God, see how this boy you trusted with the destiny of many took your love and benevolence for granted)
May your ministry and ministration never be an abomination to God's hearing in Jesus name, amen.
In other instance, God might be keeping a man in a situation for a period of time. To keep them and prove his sovereignty. If you help such man out thinking he's been delayed, you just helped him abort his destiny.
I have this piece of advice
1. Know who is dealing with man before you take actions of helping them so that you don't successfully abort their future and endanger your own ministry and the generation God is entrusting into your care.
2. Learn never to take an action if God is not speaking. God's silence is an instruction-wait. (This was what took away the kingdom from King Saul the day it should have been established).
3. Always pray to God for the understanding of His actions and inactions
4. Be so disciplined that not even failure or death will push you against God
5. Your journey with God is not with man. Don't try to bribe God and beg him later. He readily seed the heart you are acting from.
