MODALITY OF 'ALIGNMENT'
Welcome to the first edition of MODALITY.
Being the first of it kind for this new year, it will address that of ALIGNMENT
ALIGNMENT is the act of adjusting the parts of a thing in relation to another.
Let's look at the body system as the scripture uses it to describe how the Church should be to be able to relate with each other and fulfill God's command.
1 Corinthians 12:12
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
The body (church) is expected to be ONE (the main reason for its being) but many believers see the Church as different BODIES instead of different MEMBERS that needs to come together to achieve the set goal by the aimer - bringing people to the knowledge of God through Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:20
But now are they many members, yet but one body.
1 Corinthians 12:23
And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
Every part(member) of the body ( church) is significantly relevant and all should be honored. As the Ministers are honored so should individual workforce be honored and be appreciated. If a Minister can perform all the duties at once there shouldn't be need for workers.
1 Corinthians 12:25
That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
1 Corinthians 12:26
And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
Denominationalism shouldn't be the reason why the member will not come together.
But,
👉Different standards can not breed togetherness
👉Different policy will not bring togetherness
👉Different moderation strategies will not bring togetherness
👉The hand criticizing the leg will not bring togetherness
👉Strict restrictions cannot bring togetherness all in the name of 'my member'
Christ is not divided
Can there be alignment?
